We are in search of a skilled and collaborative Lead Backend Developer specializing in Go to join our development team. Our client operates a prominent telemedicine platform within the healthcare sector. This position requires availability until 4 pm PST/PDT.

Responsibilities

• Directly communicate with clients to efficiently handle and resolve their requests
• Develop and maintain a robust infrastructure for unit and automated testing
• Design, implement, and sustain highly scalable and high-performance services
• Collaborate with various teams to assess the broader impacts of design choices
• Conduct code reviews to maintain high code quality and foster knowledge sharing
• Lead the creation and evaluation of technical design proposals and proofs of concept
• Advocate for and implement engineering best practices to elevate standards
• Promote operational excellence by thorough testing and monitoring of our systems and code, diligently documenting processes, and providing on-call support

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Backend Developer with extensive expertise in Go
• At least one year of relevant leadership experience
• Proficiency with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Comprehensive knowledge of database management systems
• Experience with gRPC
• Proven ability to design, develop, deploy, and maintain cloud-based web services and microservices, with experience in AWS
• Capable of working autonomously and directly interacting with clients
• Excellent command of English, capable of effective communication at an upper-intermediate level or higher

• Experience with React, TypeScript, and Python
• Familiarity with MySQL and PostgreSQL
