We are looking for a Lead AWS DevOps Engineer to drive the design, development, and optimization of scalable cloud solutions using AWS services. This role focuses on leading modernization efforts for legacy monolith systems, optimizing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring high-performance deployment pipelines. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement microservices architecture, enhance automation, and guide cloud-native development aligned with AWS best practices.
The remote option applies only to the Candidates who will be working from any location in Ukraine.

Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of microservices architecture following the strangler fig tree pattern to incrementally replace legacy monolith systems
- Architect, implement, and maintain scalable, high-performance solutions in Java to support transformation and migration processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with AWS best practices for cloud-native applications
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and code reviews to ensure efficient, reusable, and maintainable code with a focus on performance optimization and fault tolerance
- Oversee unit tests, integration tests, and deployment strategies to ensure high-quality implementations
- Work closely with database engineers and DevOps teams to ensure robust CI/CD deployment pipelines for microservices
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive improvements
- Define best practices for cloud security, IAM policies, and encryption methods

- 5+ years of experience in software development with a focus on microservices and cloud transformation
- Proven leadership experience in cloud-native application development and DevOps practices
- Strong expertise in Java programming and microservices architecture
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as DynamoDB, Lambda, and S3
- Experience designing and implementing ETL processes and CDC pipelines
- Deep understanding of the strangler fig tree pattern for legacy system modernization
- Extensive experience in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines
- Expertise in infrastructure automation with AWS CloudFormation or Terraform
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools including Docker, Kubernetes, and ECS
- Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices, IAM, and encryption methods
- B2+ English level
