We are actively seeking a Lead Automation Tester in Java to spearhead our automation initiatives.
The Lead Test Automation Engineer (Java) is responsible for directing the overall strategy and execution of test automation, ensuring it aligns with both business objectives and quality criteria. This role demands substantial proficiency in both Java and test automation, as well as leadership skills to effectively direct and support a team of automation engineers.
This position is available remotely only for candidates who will be based anywhere within Ukraine.
The remote option applies only to the Candidates who will be working from any location in Ukraine.

Responsibilities

• Create, improve, and upkeep intricate automated test scripts using Java and associated frameworks like Selenium, Selenide, Cucumber, Appium, RestAssured, and TestNG
• Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of automation engineers, promoting teamwork and adherence to best practices
• Establish and execute test automation strategies that align with the company's objectives
• Set test automation objectives, gauge automation effectiveness, assess test automation tools and operate efficiently regardless of the tools or programming languages utilized
• Integrate and oversee automated tests within CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or GitLab CI
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to maintain uniform quality and performance throughout all products
• Consistently assess and improve test automation frameworks and tools

• Minimum of 5 years in test automation with profound expertise in Java
• Advanced proficiency in the Test Automation of Java software development language and related platforms (Core + Java 8, 11, 17 features)
• Significant background in several test automation tools and frameworks like Selenium, Selenide, Cucumber, Appium, RestAssured, and TestNG
• Production experience in automated testing of UI and API layers
• Strong leadership acumen with experience in managing or mentoring teams
• Familiarity with CI/CD technologies like Jenkins, Bamboo, or GitLab CI
• Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and collaborative capabilities
• Qualifications in architectural principles and best practices for ensuring product quality
• Understanding of software design principles and patterns, alongside best practices for creating maintainable test automation solutions
• Capability to design and implement elaborate solutions, including test frameworks, CI/CD, and integrations with tracking systems
• Proficient in English, both spoken and written, at a B2 level or higher

• Spring Boot expertise and production involvement
• Experience in JavaScript automation
• Preferred certifications in AWS, GCP or Azure
• Background in sectors such as E-commerce, Health Care, Banking, or Automotive
• Experience with tools for performance and load testing
• Deep familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Industry certifications in software testing and quality assurance
• Commitment to continual enhancement and innovation in test automation
• Understanding of AI and experience involving AI tools in projects
