Responsibilities
- Conduct accessibility evaluations of UI/UX team's design mockups and wireframes
- Create and update accessibility documentation
- Proactively advise the team on accessibility adsorption and assist in transforming processes
- Recommend solutions to address accessibility issues
- Analyze and consult on development specifications and design mockups for ADA conformance
- Oversee the accessibility evaluation team and perform accessibility reviews when feasible
- Relay key points concerning accessibility to both clients and internal stakeholders
- 5+ years of involvement in accessibility consulting, testing, specification, and requirements formulation
- Proficiency in HTML/CSS, with an extensive understanding of accessibility elements
- Deep knowledge of WCAG (2.0, 2.1+) and Section 508 obligations
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and accessibility incorporation
- Background in formulating accessibility specifications, policies, guidelines, and support documents
- Experience in developing test cases, checklists, test scenarios, audit reports, and VPAT or customer reports
- Working knowledge of assistive technologies (NVDA, JAWS, TalkBack, VoiceOver), bug tracking (JIRA), test tracking systems, developer tools (Chrome Dev Tools), and tools and code validators (Axe, Wave, validator.w3.org)
- Expertise in conducting accessibility audits and tests for desktop and mobile applications, offering remediation guidelines
- Capability to liaise with development teams to engineer accessible features and suggest alternative options
- Experience in Agile methodologies on extensive projects with geographically dispersed teams is valued
- Skills in managing, coordinating, and overseeing testers during audits or product evaluations
- Competency in appraising efforts necessary for accessibility testing, auditing, and analysis
- Strong analytical, communicative, and presentation capabilities
- Proficiency in English (B2 level or higher)
- Understanding of JavaScript
- Familiarity with DQ DevTools
- Capability to lead and supervise dispersed testing teams
