Responsibilities

  • Develop new features, including semantic search, data model reconciliation, knowledge management mechanisms, etc
  • Apply best practices for software design, development, and maintenance on small to medium-sized projects of high complexity and impact
  • Maintain and refactor backend applications that rely on Google Infrastructure
  • Analyze, review, and modify existing applications and infrastructure that rely on Google infrastructure to increase efficiency or improve overall testing, monitoring, etc
  • Review and triage incoming technical bugs with a focus on business continuity

  • Minimum 6 months commercial experience as Junior Java Developer
  • Good proficiency in Java
  • Good command of PLX (Google's analytical quesry engines)
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Knowledge in Data-related projects (Data Migration/Reporting)
Nice to have
  • Programming ability and proficiency with backend (Java)
  • Knowledge of test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, and debugging
  • Data Warehousing, Database Design, API Design, API Development, System Integration
