Responsibilities
- Participate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment
- Architect and guide the development of end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale over AWS
- Develop robust APIs and ensure seamless integration between various platform components
- Estimate work timelines and deliver on those commitments
- Identify problems and risks in your work and the work of others, proactively addressing issues as they arise
- Proven experience in building scalable, high-performance, and highly available applications on AWS
- High proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Java (Spring), with experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs
- Experience with AWS API Gateway, Lambda functions, and Swagger
- Excellent knowledge of Spring Boot and its associated modules
- Experience with Python libraries for microservices development, such as FastAPI or Flask
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes cluster operations, particularly EKS and containers
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and tools
- Familiarity with best practices such as TDD and BDD
- Hands-on experience with unit and integration testing
- In-depth experience with version control systems (preferably GitLab)
- Proficiency with collaboration tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms
- Exceptional debugging and optimization skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience in the financial industry, particularly in investment banking
- Expertise in defining high-level architectures, including network topology (VPC), compute resources (EC2 instances), storage solutions (S3, EBS), and security controls
- Experience automating infrastructure deployments with Terrarform or Cloud Formation
