Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of both front-end interfaces and backend services using Java, Angular, and Python
  • Evaluate existing software solutions and propose innovative strategies for continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features while ensuring scalability and system performance
  • Devise project plans and timelines to effectively manage development cycles and delivery deadlines
  • Mentor and guide team members through the development process, including code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting
  • Establish and maintain coding, compliance, and security standards across the applications development

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a similar field; a Master's degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in designing and developing front-end applications and microservices, including REST APIs
  • Proven technology leadership, preferably in full stack development; experience with most of the technologies listed below is advantageous
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze legacy applications and define target state design/architecture
  • Proficient in Agile methodologies
  • Applications: Java, Spring, Springboot Microservices, Integration, REST API
  • Cloud: AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, Kinesis, Firehose, DynamoDB, EKS, Cloudwatch, and other frequently used AWS services)
  • Database: DynamoDB, PostgreSQL (optional), DB2 (Legacy)
  • Other Languages: Angular, Python
  • Monitoring: Splunk
  • Testing: Cucumber, API Testing Tools
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities. Experience in client-facing roles
  • Strong organizational and structuring skills. Attention to detail and effective team leadership
  • Ability to decipher complexity and manage ambiguity
  • Capability to collaborate across teams including Database, CTO organization, and API Economy team, among others
