Responsibilities
- User-Centered Design: Engage deeply with users, letting their needs and feedback guide design decisions to develop innovative and impactful solutions
- Client Collaboration: Meet with clients to gather design requirements, translating them into functional and visually compelling physical design prototypes
- Cross-Functional Teamwork: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, digital, and business stakeholders, to create practical solutions that align with the entire product lifecycle and customer journey
- Ownership and Initiative: Take full ownership of your projects, managing every detail autonomously from concept through delivery with a proactive and self-driven approach
- Problem Solving: Tackle complex, large-scale challenges, navigating ambiguity with creativity and strategic thinking to develop effective solutions
- Prototyping and Concept Development: Rapidly generate multiple design concepts and prototypes, balancing high-fidelity precision with low-fidelity sketches and quick iterations as appropriate for the project
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Design required
- Proficiency in sketching and 3D modeling, with fluency in tools such as SolidWorks, Rhino, or Blender; expertise in 2D software like Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator; and experience with 3D rendering tools such as Keyshot
- Hands-on experience with iterative model-making and prototyping, including manual techniques, 3D printing, and CNC machining
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity, work independently, and manage multiple projects effectively in an agile environment
- Exceptional communication skills-visual, verbal, and written-to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with diverse teams
- Familiarity with interface design tools like Figma is a plus
- Experience designing medical devices is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in team settings
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 10%) for client workshops, fieldwork, and clinical settings as required
