DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with expertise in non-relational databases and extensive experience in AWS, Ansible, and Docker to join our team.

The successful candidate will manage a variety of non-relational databases, including Cassandra, MongoDB, and DynamoDB, and will actively communicate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders who rely on our DataStores platform. The role will also involve participating in on-call duties and being open to rapid changes.

  • Manage and support a variety of non-relational databases, including Cassandra, MongoDB, and DynamoDB
  • Participate in on-call duties and communicate directly with developers, product managers, and stakeholders relying on the DataStores platform
  • Utilize automation tools to streamline processes and ensure efficient deployment and management of infrastructure
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain and optimize dev, staging, and production environments
  • Implement and maintain monitoring solutions to ensure the health and performance of the infrastructure
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and drive best practices in DevOps processes
Requirements
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in DevOps or similar role
  • Experience in Linux administration
  • Practical knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, VPC, RDS, Redis, Route 53, etc
  • Proficiency in automation tools like Jenkins, TeamCity, and Ansible
  • Strong scripting skills in bash and Python
  • Familiarity with version control systems like GitLab and GitHub
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and deployment strategies
  • Practical experience with Docker and containerization
  • Proficiency in monitoring tools like Datadog, Grafana, and New Relic
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt to rapid changes
Nice to have
  • Familiarity with Amazon DynamoDB
  • Experience with Apache Cassandra, MongoDB, New Relic, Redis
