Responsibilities
- Ensure the availability, stability, and performance of MySQL and PostgreSQL databases
- Design and implement database structures, schemas, and configurations
- Administer backups, restores, and recovery models
- Monitor and optimize system performance using index tuning, disk optimization, and other methods
- Manage and maintain database security, including user access and authentication
- Collaborate with software developers to integrate databases with applications
- Perform troubleshooting and problem resolution for database issues
- Implement and maintain automation tools using Terraform and Ansible to streamline database operations
- Utilize AWS cloud infrastructure for database hosting and management
- Provide technical guidance and support to both internal team members and external clients
- Keep documentation up-to-date and ensure adherence to database best practices and compliance regulations
- Minimum 2 years as a DBA
- At least 1 year working with Linux systems
- Proficiency in AWS cloud infrastructure
- Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible
- Exceptional communication skills both for team communication and client interactions
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written, at or above B2 level
- Familiarity with MongoDB
- Understanding of CI/CD processes, preferably Jenkins or GitLab
