We are looking for a Data Solution Architect with strong hands-on Big Data development skills and a capacity for open-minded collaboration to join our friendly team.
The ideal candidate will contribute to designing and implementing impactful data solutions using advanced Big Data technologies, especially on Databricks platforms. This role is crucial for working closely with business stakeholders to decipher solution requirements and architect significant data-driven results.

Responsibilities
- Design data analytics solutions using the Big Data technology stack
- Create, present and ensure the technical accuracy of solution architecture documents
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify solution requirements and develop case studies for future solutions
- Perform solution architecture reviews and audits, including ROI calculations
- Lead the solution implementation process from project requirement gathering to the solution go-live
- Engage in pre-sales activities like direct customer communications, RFP processing, and development of implementation proposals
- Maintain and expand personal knowledge in the technology stack and solution architecture
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices
- Drive new client engagement to expand business in the Big Data domain

- 14+ years of experience with strong hands-on skills as a Big Data developer and a solid design/development background using Java, Scala, or Python
- Strong experience in Databricks, with thorough understanding of data architectures and data modeling
- Proven skills in designing and building ETL pipelines with Databricks and external orchestrators like Airflow
- Experience in delivering data analytics projects and formulating architecture guidelines
- Engineering familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Proficiency in batch processing technologies such as Hadoop, MapReduce, Spark, or Hive
- Competency in NoSQL databases like Cassandra, HBase, Accumulo, or Kudu
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies, particularly Scrum
- Experience in direct customer communications and pre-sale activities within large enterprise environments
