As a Data Product Analyst, you will work closely with a team focused on Product Development within our client's operations, including websites, apps, and related technologies. Collaborating with product managers, product designers, software engineers, and business leaders, you will lead data explorations, A/B tests, hypothesis analysis, and other statistical approaches focused on understanding our products and customers. You will also be responsible for continuous reporting and monitoring of important KPIs. Your work will support the strategic direction of our content and product initiatives, providing data-driven insights to guide the decision-making process. Responsibilities
  • Develop an in-depth analytical understanding of what drives growth and retention for the product and how it can be improved
  • Define key performance metrics for the team to evaluate and monitor product performance
  • Be an advocate and partner to your stakeholders for data-driven decision making
  • Advise on the setup of A/B tests and other quasi-experiments for new features and business opportunities, analyzing and deep-diving into the results to provide actionable recommendations
  • Develop and automate reports with a "data as product" mindset, iteratively design and build dashboards to provide insights at scale, solving for business priorities
  • Aim for impact by formulating product problem statements, relevant research questions, and hypotheses, and by identifying and executing the right methodologies to test them
Requirements
  • 6+ years of relevant working experience in a data-intensive analytics role where you learned how to work with raw data, such as in Digital Analytics, Product Analytics, or Business Intelligence, preferably in e-commerce
  • BA/BS or Master's degree in a quantitative field, such as Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or similar
  • Strong proficiency with SQL-based languages, preferably with BigQuery or Redshift
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages for data transformation and analyses
  • Experience in ETL processes and data pipeline automation on large datasets
  • Experience in tracking and analyzing user behavior on-site (for example, using Google Analytics or a similar service), along with a strong understanding of customer behavioral KPIs and how they can be defined
  • Strong knowledge and experience with A/B testing best practices
  • Experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders and excellent communication and presentation skills
Nice to have
  • Experience with quasi-experimental techniques, inferential and predictive statistics
  • Familiarity with dashboarding tools such as MicroStrategy
