Data Delivery Manager

We are looking for a remote Data Delivery Manager to join our team and take ownership of end-to-end solution delivery on assigned accounts. In this role, you will act as the single point of responsibility for all delivery-related matters, including escalations, upsells, ramp-downs, and resource management. You will be accountable for technical leadership and ensuring sound and future-proof architecture is planned and implemented to meet technical quality standards. You will coordinate between multiple disciplines and stakeholders and establish and manage long-term partnerships with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Assure governance of processes in delivery management and production as per the selected delivery model
  • Take responsibility for resources needed for delivery and ensure sound skills and seniority staffing according to the delivery roadmap
  • Coordinate the preparation of customer proposals and statements of work
  • Ensure that projects are delivered in line with EPAM processes and methodologies, with a focus on agile approaches
  • Build up delivery plan along with estimations on timeframes, quality, and quantity of resources required to successfully deliver projects
  • Establish a strategy of continuous delivery risk management that enables proactive decisions and actions throughout the delivery life cycle
  • Measure and improve delivery productivity
  • Support sales activities and participate in the bid process
  • Help mentoring and coaching other delivery managers
  • Actively contribute to EPAM-wide delivery management community

  • At least 5 years of experience in gathering and understanding customer business requirements to introduce Big Data technologies
  • Practical experience in delivering projects in Data and Analytics, Big Data, Data Warehousing, and Business Intelligence. Familiar with relevant technological solutions, industry best practices
  • Good understanding of data engineering challenges and proven experience with data platform engineering (batch and streaming, ingestion, storage, processing, management, integration, consumption)
  • Familiarity with multiple Big Data technology stacks (e.g. Hadoop, Yarn, HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, Kafka, etc.)
  • Hands-on knowledge of some of the tools and techniques (e.g. Python, Scala; data mining, predictive analytics, machine learning, etc.)
  • Good understanding of classical analytics methods including relevant theories
  • Strong background experience with Programming Languages such as Python, Scala, or Java
  • Experience with one or more leading cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP), and leading role in on-prem to cloud migration project(s)
  • Strong SQL experience
  • Data Architecture understanding
  • Strong Client Management skills
  • Proficiency with Cloud Data
  • Strong Experience in Software Delivery Cycle and familiarity with Agile methodologies
  • Excellent communicational skills with C1 English level proficiency
