We are seeking an experienced C++ Software Engineer with expertise in Site Reliability Engineering, Borg, Spanner, and Google Cloud Platform.
You will be an integral part of the Engineering team, working on a top-notch global Google infrastructure project involving a variety of modern backend and cloud technologies. Your role will involve problem-solving and active contributions to the stability and reliability of the platform.

Responsibilities
- Actively participate as a member of a Scrum team
- Engage in development and reliability engineering of infrastructure projects
- Respond to issues reported by both end users and heartbeat services
- Collaborate with other developers and teams to understand stakeholder needs and implement new or updated features
- Propose optimal solutions considering the existing customer infrastructure
- Work in on-call mode for emergency response when necessary
- Continuously refine expertise in site reliability engineering

- 2+ years of experience in C++ including concurrency, design patterns, memory management, exceptions, templates, STL, and performance optimization
- Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including experience with Version Control Systems like GitHub and Agile frameworks such as SCRUM and Kanban
- Experience working with Google Cloud Platform, particularly Google Cloud Run and Spanner
- Knowledge of SQL including joins, subqueries, and aggregate functions
- Familiarity with Google internal development tools such as Borg, Forge, TAP, Guitar, Piper, Cider, Critique, and GCL
- Additional experience with Google Cloud Platform tools like Cloud Storage and Compute Engine
- Enhanced skills in SQL techniques
- Further familiarity with Google's suite of internal development tools including Guitar and GCL
