We're looking for an experienced Business Strategist who is passionate about driving innovation at the intersection of business strategy and human-centered design.
In this role, you'll collaborate with a talented team of strategists, engineers, data scientists, experience designers, and more to identify fresh opportunities and develop compelling value propositions that are consumer-driven, financially viable, and technologically feasible. You'll also be responsible for structuring and developing models to evaluate the economic potential of new ideas, strategies, services, or products.
Business strategists at our firm work across diverse industries, and this position will initially focus on transforming the public sector-specifically improving the traveler experience in public transportation.

Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted client partner at the senior leadership level, helping clients shape and articulate a clear, forward-thinking vision for their business across near--, mid-, and long-term horizons
- Lead innovation programs, prioritizing customer experience, systems thinking, and business viability
- Guide multidisciplinary teams through all phases of project work, from client alignment and context understanding to uncovering non-obvious insights, exploring opportunities, creating actionable design concepts, developing business rationales, and supporting clients through market launch
- Synthesize complex work streams into compelling, clear, and logical client presentations, confidently presenting ideas to executive-level stakeholders
- Create robust business and financial models that quantify the value of recommended innovations. Many modeling scenarios will involve quantitative analysis of novel opportunities that may have little or no existing precedent
- Develop innovation roadmaps that translate strategy into actionable, phased plans for implementation, ensuring clients are equipped to execute their vision
- Cultivate and grow client relationships, ensuring trust and long-term partnership
- Drive new business development by working alongside account managers and other team members to generate opportunities and expand client portfolios
- 10+ years of experience in management consulting, innovation consulting, design consulting, corporate strategy, or a related field
- An undergraduate degree is required; an MBA is strongly preferred
- Proven experience consulting at the senior leadership level within organizations
- Exceptional communication, presentation, writing, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated expertise in project and client management, with a focus on strategic, high-impact engagements
- Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional teams that include designers, engineers, and other specialists
- Experience managing and mentoring junior team members
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Experience in the transportation sector and/or customer service is a plus
