Associate Engineering Manager & Solution Architect

Tacuarembó, Uruguay

We are looking for a dedicated Associate Engineering Manager & Solution Architect who will play a critical role in liaising with stakeholders and managing offshore teams.
This role involves coordinating the creation of technical solutions documentation and overseeing engineering efforts across various streams.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders on the Customer side to ensure alignment on project objectives
  • Manage the creation and maintenance of technical solution documentation
  • Provide engineering supervision for both product development and staff augmentation streams
  • Lead and support a distributed team of 5+ engineers in task delegation and performance evaluation
  • Improve existing development and technical design processes to enhance productivity
  • Design and implement microservice architectures in collaboration with the technical team
  • Coordinate with other solution architects and onshore development teams
  • Adapt working schedules for better alignment with offshore teams in EET/CET time zones

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Software Engineering Management and people management skills
  • Background in Solution Architecture with the ability to contribute to architecture documentation
  • Experience with Java, AWS, and microservices architecture
  • Proficiency in JavaScript
  • Expertise in managing offshore teams with an understanding of UA/BY cultural contexts
  • Competency in maintaining customer relationships and comfortable in facing technical stakeholders
  • Qualifications in improving technical design processes and product development mindset

  • Flexibility to work with Java
  • Familiarity with JavaScript
