API Technical Architect - Remote

As an API Technical Architect within the API Office Services Team, you will be accountable for strategizing and solutions capabilities that support the API development lifecycle, and promoting the products and services that will enable the developer community to deliver quality APIs and reduce time to market. You must be able to design solutions based on the API-first approach and have a strong focus on developer experience. The solutions you design must be secure, scalable, maintainable, and in alignment with portfolio objectives. It takes combining advanced technical skills with interpersonal skills as you collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization.

  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineers, and other Stakeholders to define API requirements and use cases
  • Lead the design and development of API solutions that adhere to API Principles, standards, and best practices
  • Advise product development teams on standards and best practices of API Lifecycle Management
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in API architecture and integration
Requirements
  • Experience with API architecture and leading the integration of scalable applications and API solutions
  • Hands-on with HTTP-based system integrations and designing APIs using Open API Specification
  • History of developing in web services architecture and using Java Spring Boot
  • Strong Understanding of the entire API development life cycle from design, implementation, and deployment to monitoring
  • Comfortable working with an API Management platform
  • Proven track record of implementing CI/CD automation and using software development tools such as GitHub
  • Knowledge of API security standards, including oAuth2.0/OpenID Connect
  • Extensive Experience working with MuleSoft Architecture & using Mule 4.x
  • MuleSoft Architecture Certification
  • Highly skilled in contract testing and mocking services
  • Demonstrated analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and organizational skills in fast-paced environments
  • Familiar with Agile product development methods, implementing API governance, and evangelizing on API best practices
  • Exposure to designing APIs with a consumer-driven design approach
