Access Management Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Access Management Engineer to take ownership of the creation, management, and termination of employee access across various enterprise applications and systems. This role requires strong expertise in Microsoft Active Directory (AD), Azure AD, ITSM tools, and automation via PowerShell. You will work closely with security, IT operations, and compliance teams to ensure secure, efficient, and audit-compliant access management processes.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in identity and access management (IAM), automation, and SOX audit compliance, along with hands-on experience in cloud-based environments like Azure and Amazon Cloud (linked to Azure AD).
The position requires 1-2 days monthly business trips to the client's office in Vienna, Austria.

• Handle provisioning, modification, and deprovisioning of user access in Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and Azure AD
• Manage access to 50-60 applications, using AD groups, application-based role matching, and ITSM tools (e.g., Xurrent)
• Improve efficiency by enhancing existing PowerShell scripts and developing automation solutions to reduce manual access management tasks (currently 80% manual)
• Oversee access management for applications such as Exact (Accounting Application), Salepoint, MS Multi-Factor Authentication, and internally developed applications
• Ensure SOX audit compliance, maintain accurate documentation, and support audit requests related to access management
• Execute and manage ticket-based access requests, including permission approvals, refusals, and workflow improvements
• Investigate and resolve access-related incidents, ensuring a secure and efficient access management process

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and Azure AD
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and access management tasks
• Experience with ITSM tools (e.g., Xurrent) for managing access requests and workflows
• Knowledge of MS Multi-Factor Authentication and enterprise access management solutions
• Familiarity with Salepoint and other access management tools is a plus
• Understanding of SQL commands for managing access in internally developed applications
• Experience working in cloud environments (Azure, Amazon Cloud linked to Azure AD)
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Detail-oriented with experience in audit and compliance (SOX audits)
• Ability to document processes, workflows, and permissions effectively
• Excellent communication skills for handling support requests and stakeholder interactions

• Experience with API-based automation for access management
