Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Analyst within Cloud Data Engineering, you will be responsible for evaluating business requests to determine feasibility, identify options, and recommend solutions for new software development or enhancements. You will interpret, document and maintain customer requirements, convert them into conceptual and logical designs, identify use cases, create Jira stories for assignment, build and execute test cases, and conduct data validation and product testing. You will be responsible for writing SQL queries to perform analysis, data validation and functional testing to support our products. You will regularly schedule meetings, collaborate with business and technical teams, and help drive the success of our project and the team. You will participate in shaping our product roadmaps and ensure the delivery of high quality products. As a Senior Analyst on the team, you will be in a position to provide instruction and guidance to less tenured team members on new tasks and assignments.
In this role, you will be a critical team member, collaborating cross-functionally with software engineers, business teams, other IT teams, leadership and participating in Scrum meetings and ceremonies. This is an ideal opportunity for a detail-oriented, technically curious, and efficiency-driven individual, as much of your time will be focused on supporting our strategic initiatives in Cloud Data Engineering. You will also work with the team to support existing processes and offer ideas for process improvement. Strong interpersonal and communication skills will be essential. To be successful, you will also need to demonstrate strong personal ownership and accountability, relationship management, team building, organization, prioritization, problem-solving, change management and a personal passion for data.
This role is part of the Cloud Data Engineering Vehicle domain team. While the domain team is Vehicle, this role will involve working on projects assigned to this team that may cross into the Rental, Revenue Management or Business Admin domains based upon project assignment.

Qualifications
Required:
- Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
- Must reside in the United States (does not include Alaska or Hawaii)
- Must be able to work a schedule within U.S. Central Standard Time core business hours.
- Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
- 3+ years of professional work experience as a Software Analyst, Business Analyst, or Product Owner
- 2+ years of SQL experience
- Experience with Power Point and Visio
- Experience with API requirements analysis and design
- Experience working within the Agile methodology
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with regression testing, release testing, and/or troubleshooting system issues
- Experience complying with data security standards, enterprise-wide systems, and working on large data integration initiatives
- Experience in leading projects from requirements gathering to effectively communicating with business and IT team members
- Must be organized with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to timelines
- Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to document both system design information and processes
- Experience partnering with software development team members to communicate a detailed understanding of requirements
- Experience with clearly defining and creating detailed documentation to describe complex business processes to the lowest level
- Experience with validating that new software releases are production-ready and provide documentation for end users
- Prior success facilitating team meetings, daily standups, providing status reports, and conducting analysis
- Work well in a team collaborative setting, coordinating work and addressing work prioritization, escalating to management when necessary
- Instills/Reinforces security at all levels to ensure adherence to IT Security Standards
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
- Experience with SQL on Teradata, Oracle, and/or SQL server
- Experience with or willingness to learn new cloud technologies
- Experience using JIRA/Confluence or another project tracking system
