The User Experience (UX) Manager is responsible for driving design innovation and discovery in alignment with our product and company growth goals. They will influence overall design strategy and creativity while ensuring cohesion and modern best practices across product lines. This is a global position aimed at driving user-centered design and design thinking across discovery and development processes.

We are a remote-first organization with remote and hybrid employees aligned to flexible teams from office locations in California, Missouri, Wisconsin and the United Kingdom. The compensation information below is provided in compliance with job posting disclosure requirements in New York.

Pay Range: [$141,100- $182,500]

Actual base pay will depend on varying circumstances, including the position, location, individual qualifications, market finances, and other operational business needs. Depending on the position, compensation may also include bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Drive user-centered design and design thinking principles from discovery to development, ensuring cohesion in the product experience
  • Collaborate closely with Product Development to guide UX Designers embedded within product teams
  • Ensure structured, consistent collaboration between the product UX Designers and the global UX vision
  • Set clear expectations for design standards and collaborate to establish measurable goals for UX Designers
  • Oversee a user research framework and usability study practice to ensure that product designs align with user needs and business goals
  • Provide expertise in industry best practices and emerging UX trends to elevate software product design
  • Evangelize and oversee the execution of our design strategy with external customers while also supporting internal teams working on building those designs.
  • Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training and goal setting
  • Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • For flexible or full remote work from home positions, reliable high speed Internet connection and dedicated work space are required
  • Must be located in one of the following locations: AZ, CA, FL, IL, LA, MD, MI, MN, MO, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, VA, WA or WI
  • Bachelor's Degree (focus in human-computer interaction, user experience design, or a related field is preferred)
    • OR Significant experience in leading UX strategy and design can be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 10+ years in UX design leadership roles, driving UX strategy across multiple products or large company
  • 3+ years of experience designing software in the automotive claims or repair industries
  • 5+ years of experience with front-end technologies, usability testing, and analyzing user data insights
  • 5+ years of advanced familiarity with design, prototyping, and user testing tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, InVision, Axure, Maze, or similar platforms
