The Enterprise brand of Enterprise Mobility has an exciting opportunity for a Building Maintenance Technician. The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general maintenance and repair of building assets. This position is also responsible for basic maintenance and organization to ensure that facilities and equipment are in good condition at all times for customers and employees.This position may require work in grounds-keeping, interior/ exterior maintenance/ upkeep items, including but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, telecommunications, signs and lighting, fence and gate repairs, installation and maintenance of vehicle cleaning equipment, or other maintenance tasks as assigned.

The starting rate of pay is $17.90 / hour with an opportunity for increases based on certifications and/or experience in different general maintenance.

This position is located at 5442 Hoffner Ave, Orlando, FL 32812 but will require day time travel to our operations within the Central Florida territory. This position also offers use of a company vehicle during work hours.

Schedule: This is a Full Time 40 hour a week position from Monday through Friday with occasional weekends as needed by the business.

Responsibilities

The Building Maintenance Technician will be responsible for a wide variety of general building maintenance repairs and services including but not limited to:

  • Routine general maintenance and repair work such as light electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpet/floor cleaning
  • Timely completion of work orders generated by call-in requests or preventive maintenance schedule
  • Perform duties of the company's preventative maintenance program
  • Troubleshoot general problems
  • Move items as needed (i.e. furniture, file cabinets, boxes, artwork etc.)
  • Delivery of office and building supplies
  • Small appliance and equipment installation (pressure washers, air compressors, etc...)
  • Working outside in all types of weather and temperatures and in a typical office environment
  • Use a variety of equipment: a large assortment of vehicles (may include 15-passenger vans and airport buses), safety belts, 2-way radio or cellular phone, phone system, computer/tablet, printer, fax, cleaning tools and solutions
  • Follow proper procedures to comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Electrical: Replace ballasts, bulbs, parking lot lights; repair/install outlets and signs.
  • Plumbing: Address clogs, repair/replace sinks, faucets, and toilets; fix leaks.
  • Painting: Perform painting, plastering, and drywall repair.
  • Glass & Doors: Board-ups, repair/replace doors, install closers, hinges, locks, and seals.
  • HVAC: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on HVAC systems.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Maintain equipment such as crash gates, pressure washers, and vacuums.
  • Appliance Installation: Install equipment like pressure washers, air compressors, and vacuums.

Qualifications

We are looking for individuals with strong problem-solving and communication skills, who enjoy working with hands-on projects and providing excellent customer service.

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • One year or more of hands-on general building maintenance experience is required. (Experience in household/commercial repair and/or maintenance)
  • Experience with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems is preferred.
  • Must have HS Diploma/GED.
  • Must have a current and valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record in the past 3 years
  • No drug or alcohol related convictions on driving record in the past 5 years
  • Must be able to understand, read, write and speak English
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • Experience with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems is preferred.

  • Lifting: Up to 50 lbs
  • Standing: Up to 10 hours
  • Other: Job requires some bending
  • Must be able to climb a 12 foot ladder
  • Extensive local travel between branches is required
