About the role and what you'll be doing:
Reports to the US Database manager. You'll be part of Global Implementation & Operational team, supporting the Operational & migration activities of mission critical infrastructure of Ensono's clients, delivering a responsive and exceptional support service for client events and requests. We are looking for a Senior Db2 LUW DBA who can lead our team as a dedicated resource for a key client. Key responsibilities include:

• Primary role will be to support our existing key client.
• Lead a team of several other DBAs by making work assignments, coordinating with key client contacts and aligning team efforts with the client's needs.
• Work with clients on issues, requests related to Projects.
• Work proactively and review high level project requirements and deliverables.
• Be willing to participate in an on-call rotation for 24×7 support for incidents and outages.
• Automate DBA best practices.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and enhance, upgrade, or build new client Db2 LUW environments.
• Work closely with clients daily on projects, troubleshooting, or consultations.
• Perform software installations, upgrades, and patches to Db2 LUW instances and servers.
• Define and maintain Db2 LUW standards and governance.
• Utilize industry standard technologies & methods to ensure the integrity & recoverability of Db2 LUW applications.
• Serve as technical resource to business analysts, solutions development, and other groups responsible for Db2 LUW application development standards, system design and integration.
• Ensure Db2 LUW systems remain at operational excellence during infrastructure improvements (hardware/software upgrades server migrations/consolidations, application deployment, etc.).
• Assist in creating new or maintaining documentation, runbooks, knowledge articles and diagrams.
• Assist with major issues, technical challenges, and troubleshooting, serving as an escalation point for complex problems.
• Facilitate open communication and collaboration between our ops DBA team and the client, ensuring alignment and effective problem-solving.

Required Qualifications
- • More than 10 years of experience in Db2 LUW Database administration
• More than 2 years of technical leadership experience (team lead, etc.)
• Solid understanding of Database technology
• Extensive Database performance tuning experience
• Database Deep knowledge of industry-standard, enterprise-class best practices for a large database environment
• Good understanding of AIX and Intel platforms
• Deep understanding of HADR Database and storage technologies like Data replication, TSM, etc.
• Experience implementing, supporting and auditing database security
• Experience with Unix/Linux OS platform and Unix Shell scripting and automation
• Experience with transaction log management, backup strategies and security configuration using LDAP
• Knowledge of Db2 Connect
• Knowledge of administering advanced Db2 database functions including High Availability (HADR), Q-Replication and SQL replication (capture and apply, both continuous and non-continuous)
Preferred Qualifications
- • Automation skills in Shell Scripts/Python/Ansible/Terraform (cloud) to automate routine maintenance activities.
• Knowledge of the ITIL framework
• Database administration experience in a cloud environment - Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), etc. - Skills
• Technical leadership skills
• Ability to work independently, analyze the requirement, and provide solutions.
• A 'client centric' approach
• Excellent demonstrable English written and verbal communication skills
• Able to communicate in groups with confidence and conviction
• Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
• Excellent team collaboration skills are essential
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to document processes and procedures in a clear, concise, and logical manner
• Self-starter with the capability to work independently and produce positive results that will keep migration timelines on schedule

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this role is $95,000 to $148,000 annually based on a full-time schedule. Please note that placement in the range may vary based on numerous factors including but not limited to skills, experience, internal equity, and business needs. In addition to base salary, other compensation programs, depending on eligibility, include an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance [OR] a role-based, sales-incentive plan, and an equity grant under our Associate Equity Appreciation Program.
