Bracing and Support

Job Title/High Level Position Summary:

Manages approximately 150 hourly employees engaged in manufacturing activities that impact the overall site objectives and the company. Works on meeting production goals, quality and cost objectives through continuous improvement efforts and implementation of EGX manufacturing principles. Prioritizes production schedules and staffing based on daily order volume and customer needs. Plans, administers, and determines how to best utilize budget and resources to achieve objectives. Provides leadership, work direction and guidance to Leads and production assemblers. Interacts frequently with external and internal departments to meet business needs. Implements and ensures employees comply with established guidelines, work instructions, and company's policies. Participates in budget and capital expenditure recommendations. Reports directly to the site director

Key Responsibilities

  • Works on meeting production, quality, and cost objectives through continuous improvement efforts and increased efficiency
  • Coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
  • Implementation of EGX manufacturing tools and principles.
  • Hire and create an effective onboarding plan to ensure and efficient ramp-up for new employees. Trains new hires and current staff on implemented procedures and policies.
  • Works with Leads on cross training schedule to plan for peak season.
  • Plans, administers, and determines how to best utilize budget and resources to complete business objectives.
  • Manages production planning and resource planning, while keeping vigilant of labor hour and Overtime
  • Leads 5s program.
  • Ensures production is complying with established guidelines, procedures, and policies.
  • Responsible for JHA, RCCM'S and NCMR/ CAPA follow up.
  • Partners with production staff to ensure daily targets are met.
  • Manages production time-off requests and Weekly payroll approvals
  • Provides leadership, work direction and guidance to Leads.
  • Interacts frequently with functional peer managers in Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Maintenance, Customer Care and Human Resources.
  • Manage Budget effectively.

Minimum Basic Qualifications

Experience

  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills including communicating at multiple levels in the organization.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong Leadership presence
  • Strong Lean Knowledge with relevant experience implementing line layouts, 5S, Material Flow and New Product Introduction

Education

  • BA/BS in Relevant Field of study or at least 5 years of Production Management experience leading hourly employees in a production environment

General Skills/Competencies/Specialized Knowledge

  • Strong communication and organizational skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in computer skills and productivity software
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment
  • Proven experience utilizing data in order to drive and implement actions and efficiencies
  • Strong working knowledge of site P&L
