Enovis Surgical
Job Title/High Level Position Summary:
Under general supervision you will develop/improve new manufacturing processes used to build Orthopedic implants and instruments. As part the Mfg. Engineering team you will assist in the daily support of products, processes, materials, and equipment to achieve NPI/Production goals for the Organization. This could be a part-time role, minimum hours per week 20.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all the requirements of Enovis safety and quality.
- Performs supervised and self-directed functions in the development of projects.
- Participate in improvement projects in processes in your area.
- Plans, executes, and controls activities related to your project.
- Assists team in identifying process improvements.
- Provide technical support in relation to your established project.
- Collaborate with your department and other staff to identify, define, and solve technical problems.
- Create documentation when required.
- Coordinates with the different levels and departments of the organization to obtain basic information that will be used in the improvement projects of the department.
- Supports department in a variety of daily tasks.
Minimum Basic Qualifications:
At least 50% of studies completed in as a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering with a minimum GPA of 2.75. (Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering).
Travel Requirements:
- < 5%
Desired Characteristics:
Required knowledge in: Manufacturing, Process Development/Validations, Tools (Statistics, Technical Manuals, Kaizen, Six Sigma, DoE), Experience with Medical Device product development or Manufacturing a plus.
Strong verbal and written communications skills. Organized. Ability to follow written and verbal direction. Ability to operate standard office equipment.
Relevant Courses include Processing of Materials, Materials Processing, Machine Tool Operations for Engineers, Robot Mechanism Design, Materials Selection, Metallurgy of Engineering Alloys, Industrial Design for Production, Robotics and Automation, Statistical Methods for Process Control & Manufacturing.
Physical Demands
Ability to tug, pull, or lift up to (50) pounds.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
