Business Unit Description: Surgical
Job Title/High-Level Position Summary: This position provides administrative support to the Medical Education department, including assisting with the organization, execution and documentation of medical education events, booking travel, processing expense reports associated with events, and drafting and finalizing communications needed for events during the year. The position will also support the team with various administrative and support functions. To be successful in this position, the team member must possess a high-level of communication and collaborative skills as well as the ability to adapt to a variety of working styles and work assignments. This person will report to the Medical Education Meeting and Event Manager and will work closely with the entire Medical Education Team on various aspects of program and event preparation and execution as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Logistics Coordination: Collaborate as assigned with all appropriate stakeholders to assist with program/event logistics including travel booking and tracking, preparing, maintaining and shipping event supplies, and maintaining event supply inventory, and assisting with catering needs.
- Expense Reporting: Assist with creating event-related requisitions and assisting with the request and tracking of payments and processing of event expense reports.
- Database Maintenance: Assist with maintenance of data base that tracks number of events and event attendees.
- Medical Education Program Planning: Assist Meeting and Event Manager and Program Managers with all aspects of the Project Plan as assigned.
- Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate ongoing and effective communication with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure job responsibilities are carried out effectively.
Minimum Basic Qualifications:
- Associates degree or higher is preferred. No previous professional experience required.
Travel Requirements: Up to 10% domestically

- Event planning experience
- Familiarity with medical terminology
