Business Unit Description:

Partnerships with key surgeon consultants help provide advanced and proprietary patented solutions, including EMPOWR 3D Knee®, the only dual-pivot knee system on the market, and AltiVate Reverse® Shoulder, a market-leading system, based on the design principles of the RSP® Shoulder, which has demonstrated excellent clinical outcomes at 10 years.

Enovis Surgical offers surgeons and their patients a full range of primary and revision implants for hip, knee, shoulder, and elbow reconstructive joint surgeries, in addition to the tools and digital health technology needed in today's changing healthcare environment.

Job Title/High Level Position Summary:

The Senior Manager will lead and direct a team of 1 exempt Supervisors and oversee the day-to-day operations of over 70 associates involved in operations of surgical implants. This role is crucial for achieving organizational goals related to patient safety, quality, output, and cost efficiency. The Senior Manager will prioritize customer order schedules based on factors such as new product introductions, equipment efficiency, and material supply. They will be responsible for planning and administering procedures and budgets, making recommendations for budgetary adjustments, and controlling capital expenditures and labor costs. Additionally, the Senior Manager will develop schedules and labor requirements, select and evaluate personnel, and ensure efficient operations. They will also ensure compliance with government regulations and company standards in production and quality control, participate in production and capacity planning, and lead a team of direct hourly production employees. Strong written and oral communication skills, leadership abilities, and a thorough understanding of manufacturing operations and EGX (Enovis Growth Excellence) are essential for this role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide and motivate a team of associates and supervisors toward achieving set objectives
  • Possess a strong understanding of lean principles and practices.
  • Work effectively with members from various functional areas, ensuring adherence to SOPs, Standard Work, and relevant personnel policies and procedures
  • Engage in performance management and align labor needs with business and customer demands
  • Uphold quality assurance standards, enforce QMS policies, support training, and ensure compliance with all requirements
  • Demonstrate excellent conflict resolution skills, handle confrontations diplomatically, and thrive in a dynamic environment with a focus on constructive feedback
  • Set ambitious goals, persist through challenges, measure performance against high standards, and take calculated risks to reach objectives
  • Communicate clearly and persuasively in various situations, listen actively, seek clarification, respond to questions, and engage in meetings
  • Adhere to policies and procedures, complete administrative tasks accurately and punctually, and support the organization's goals and values
  • Use ERP systems for transactions and basic reporting
  • Utilize data to drive process improvements
  • Perform root cause analysis on issues and propose corrective and preventive actions.
  • Rigorously follow SOPs and cGMP regulations, complete manufacturing documentation accurately and promptly
  • Draft and revise manufacturing SOPs/work instructions to enhance processes and maintain cGMP compliance.
  • Promptly report processing and equipment issues to management and actively engage in troubleshooting efforts

Minimum Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field with a proven strategic leadership and innovation track record
  • 3-10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing leadership, and a demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence at an enterprise level
  • Proven strategic leadership and innovation track record
  • Strong ability to lead and implement transformative initiatives, exhibiting a strategic vision, proactive problem-solving approach, and exceptional adaptability in a dynamic environment
  • Proven experience in high-level decision-making with a track record of maintaining confidentiality and fostering cross-functional collaboration
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a focus on strategic messaging, combined with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development
  • Advanced interpersonal skills and the ability to foster a collaborative and supportive team environment while maintaining approachability and patience
  • Sophisticated decision-making and problem-solving capabilities related to complex, multifaceted issues demonstrate a high-level strategic thinking and resolution capacity
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Travel Requirements:

  • < 5% of travel required
