About the role:

The Systems Controls Lead plays a key role in enhancing and overseeing Enova’s internal control frameworks. This individual works closely with first line (or business) teams to ensure that controls are robust, effective, and aligned with regulatory requirements, while also assessing and monitoring control performance, providing strategic recommendations, and leading training initiatives to upskill teams and stakeholders on preventative and detective controls.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance control frameworks, standards, and resources focused on effective control design and regulatory compliance.
  • Advise business and operations teams on control design and improvements to mitigate risks and meet standards.
  • Evaluate current controls for effectiveness, identify gaps, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Design and implement control monitoring, testing, and reporting processes to track performance and detect issues early.
  • Lead training and development initiatives to educate teams on control frameworks and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technology, compliance, or analytics, with proven leadership in technical change management within regulated environments.
  • Strong analytical skills for data and process analysis, paired with proficiency in data reporting and visualization tools to create impactful reports and recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts to varied audiences effectively.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, collaborative, and able to thrive in dynamic settings while being proactive in learning new technologies and skills.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycles, observability practices, and change management processes; operational knowledge of Postgresql, Ruby, Go, and/or Java preferred, and experience with U.S. consumer financial regulations is a plus.
