About the role: 

As a Paralegal - Contracts, you will be a key part of the transactional legal team at Enova. You will be primarily responsible for managing our contract lifecycle process, including review of routine vendor agreements and standard contract documents, as well as contract negotiation and maintenance. In addition, you will support the transactional legal team with other matters, including general corporate matters, due diligence, labor and employment and other projects. You must be nimble and professional to provide timely, pragmatic and business-savvy support to the legal team and responses to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review and edit routine form contracts, proposals, SOWs, terms and conditions, and other standard contract documents with minimal supervision, with special attention to potential legal and business risk factors for the company; addressing those as needed to minimize and mitigate this risk.
  • Ensure all appropriate approvals are obtained and issues are addressed by coordinating stakeholder input. Organize communications between all parties, maintaining an information stream and workflow while preventing inappropriate disclosure of sensitive information.
  • Maintain contract records and documentation in the appropriate content/document management systems, ensuring that all legal documents are correctly archived. 
  • Identify gaps in standard template language required for company-wide use. Conduct contract lifecycle management tasks with moderate supervision.
  • Draft communications with minimal supervision, ensuring written communications are free from typographical errors and demonstrate a balance between customer service, issue resolution, and mitigating risk.
  • May develop project plans with guidance from senior members of the team and identify roadblocks, escalating when appropriate.
  • Assist in labor and employment matters, including policy review, compliance review, case matter and file management, and preparation of litigation related filings.
  • Assist with corporate due diligence review, coordination of production of documents, and other support for M&A transactions.
  • Assist in general document management.

What you should have

  • 5+ years experience in contracts paralegal or similar role, in-house experience preferred.
  • Experience managing and reviewing legal contracts is a must.
  • Are a self-starter, detail oriented and organized, with the capability to analyze problems and craft a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Are flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and multiple workstreams.
  • Ability to engage individuals and collaborate across teams to ensure timely project completion.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels within and outside of the organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word and Excel), Google suite, Adobe, DocuSign, with experience with contract lifecycle management software.
  • Experience with notarization and apostille certificates is a plus.

Compensation:

The budgeted annual salary range for this position is $72,000 to $96,500.  Actual annual salary will be determined based on qualifications, skills, experience, and level assessed during the hiring process and may fall outside of the range shown. Additional compensation for this role may include a bonus. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in Company benefits, described in more detail here.
