About the role:

As the Commercial Litigation Recovery Team Lead at Enova, your responsibilities include leadership within the company's commercial collections litigation team. You are required to possess, or be willing to acquire, a comprehensive understanding of commercial finance, as well as the laws and regulations pertaining to collections that impact Enova's commercial lending and servicing operations. This role reports to the Recovery Litigation Manager, SMB Collections.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects to help the recovery litigation team drive efficiency, improve processes, and increase production
  • Manage commercial collections litigation, particularly post-judgment remedies
  • Direct outside counsel in routine and complex collections litigation, collaborating on enterprise and case-specific strategies
  • Direct our business and law firm partners in the management of Enova’s recovery litigation
  • Assess the validity of claims, negotiate settlements, and on occasion appear on behalf of Enova international for trials, mediations, and similar hearings

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Legal knowledge and experience, with a background working in law firms or an in-house environment
  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school, paralegal certificate, or other legal education
  • Knowledge of creditor-side commercial bankruptcy

Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, critical thinking, negotiation skills, ability to work under pressure, and a dynamic, self-motivated individual who can work independently and collaboratively with a team
  • Experience in collections, commercial financial services, fintech/financial companies, litigation, or creditor-side bankruptcy, with a strong interest in developing expertise in commercial collections
  • Leadership experience within a corporate environment. The ability to direct and manage people and projects. 

For Colorado-based candidates, the budgeted range is $80,000-$85,000 but actual compensation may vary based on experience, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and may fall outside of the range shown.
