The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst is a key member of the data and analytics team, responsible for providing critical data and analytical components to deliver insights to all functions of the business. This role works with the cross-functional data and analytics team, subject matter experts, and system vendors to implement programs and define and undertake analytics projects that provide data-supported answers to key business issues. The Senior BI Analyst uses data modeling and business intelligence tools to draw insights that drive business strategy. This role collaborates with stakeholders and business sponsors as well as the application development team to evangelize their work products and advocate as a driver of data-driven change throughout the organization.

Job Responsibilities 
  • Communicate complex analytical solutions, data relationships and results and their business impacts to multiple business partners and stakeholders, through superior data visualization and storytelling skills.
  • Leverage, integrate, and normalize disparate data sources including enterprise systems, internal and third-party applications, and customer data Partner with cross-functional, operational teams to develop quantitative models and analyze business hypotheses, informing data driven decisions to optimize and increase productivity and revenue.
  • Present data and document feedback, requirements, and solutions to complete the full project lifecycle from design inception through delivery. 
  • Design and develop efficient data models to support reporting, analysis, and forecasting needs.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data quality and integrity within databases and data pipelines.
  • Drive business decisions by providing data analysis and reporting of patterns, insights, and trends to decision-makers.
  • Use analytics and metrics to show key performance indicators, improve processes and provide data-driven forecasts.
  • Develop and maintain consultative relationships with key stakeholders to effectively drive aligned business results.
  • Foster strong cross-functional relationships in order to effectively synthesize organizational needs and translate into a cohesive data strategy.
  • Integrate cross-functional, cross-market and cross-category analytical insights into strategic thought leadership and actionable recommendations to influence business decisions.
  • Stay current on the latest tools, trends, and best practices in data analysis, business intelligence, and visualization.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of data reporting standards and best practices across the organization.
 
Requirements 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline – Computer Science, math, statistics, data and analytics preferred or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of experience in data and analytics, business intelligence, predictive analytics, or related consultative role
  • Proficient in data modeling, Power BI, Looker, and other business intelligence tools
  • Preferred:
    • Experience in Python or similar scripting languages for advanced data analysis.
    • Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and predictive analytics.
    • Experience in agile environments or familiarity with project management frameworks.

Skills 
  • Advanced Knowledge of SQL and experience with data wrangling and manipulation
  • Experience with Data visualization tools like PowerBI, Looker or similar BI tools
  • Solid understanding of data modeling techniques, including star schema, snowflake schema, and normalized/denormalized models.
  • Knowledge and experience with data pipeline development and ETL processes.
  • Ability to tell compelling stories with data and present insights in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle large, complex data sets.Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Highly detail-oriented with a critical degree of accuracy with data management
  • Exhibits a solid understanding of data quality concepts and practices, such as data profiling and creating/maintaining metadata, and factors that contribute to the reliability and integrity of collected data
  • Self-motivated, enjoys working in a fast-paced, driven environment and collaborates efficiently as a team member
  • Willingness to be flexible and adapt to different stakeholder needs
  • Seeks out innovative approaches and techniques while making sound business decisions
 
The salary range for this position is $94,000 - $121,000; commensurate salary to be determined based on skills, professional background and expertise.  This position is also eligible, pursuant to applicable eMoney policies, for the annual bonus program, retirement contributions, health insurance, sick leave, parental leave and paid time off.
