Position Summary
The VP of Global Digital Brand is responsible for leading the vision and execution of digital experiences that drive sales, deliver a compelling online customer experience, and elevate our brand equity across Clinique's digital ecosystem. They will bring deep digital commerce experience as well as social media expertise and a history of helping brands capture the hearts and wallets of beauty consumers globally.

The right candidate will deeply understand all digital touchpoints across audiences on our owned and unowned properties and how to bring to life, a vision and experience that brings the brand to life in our .com, social channels, display and email. From leading digital first programs, to concepting for tentpole moments, to driving digital creative strategy, the VP is expected to have a thirst for optimizing sales while driving equity for the brand.

The VP will evolve the vision for our digital presence and develop a strategy, design, and guidelines to bring this to life on all applicable digital channels. They will excel at guiding the brand's digital creative direction, partnering with internal and external teams to build the vision.
They will also be a critical ambassador for digital within the brand's senior leadership, as well as across stakeholder groups within creative, digital marketing, consumer engagement and product marketing and will drive a modern expression as well as executional excellence across all digital projects.
The specifics:
The VP will report into the Sr. Vice President, Global Creative and lead a diverse and talented team across ecommerce design and social media.
They will be expected to establish strategic creative solutions and to develop a holistic consumer journey across multiple platforms. In addition to managing their direct team, they will also manage freelance support, agencies and direct our regional team digital creative teams (i.e. North American Creative Content Hub for Clinique) on ecommerce projects, as well as work with dedicated UX support on the enterprise teams. They will drive strategy and execution across all of our priority projects including but not limited to: global site design and optimizations, ecommerce initiatives, 3rd party commerce integration, tentpole digital programs like Holiday as well as organic and paid social content.
Equally important to the craft and performance of digital, they must also be dedicated to operational excellence through process, workflow and design system thinking with global scale in mind. In addition, they will be responsible for governance and support of our regional digital creative teams to ensure consistency of the brand vision from a global perspective.
Functionally, they will be a master in the Adobe creative suite, specifically Figma, with curiosity for the newest technologies in market so they are constantly upleveling the team's skillset, which in turn, will elevate the digital expression of the brand. The VP will be a "Swiss-army knife":
• an excellent, detail oriented storyteller who can wireframe in a pinch
• a generalist in design, UX, UI with understanding of data and human interaction across mobile and desktop
• a leader with a strong design vision who understands how to drive business with brand
• a leader and mentor to those on the team with a view toward fostering professional growth as well as shape the team to have the best talent possible
• a strategic thinker who will guide and direct the teams work and help to prioritize workload and projects
Finally, the VP is someone who possesses the creative judgment, communication abilities, collaborative instincts, and leadership abilities to become an effective creative leader at Clinique.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Serve as a standard bearer for Clinique's brand messaging and visual identity for digital
• Set vision and drive concepts and strategies for digital workstreams through the lens of the business and marketing need, in collaboration with other senior leaders at Clinique
• Own the entire creative and development process and work with senior cross functional partners to ensure business alignment as it relates to the .com and all owned and 3rd party digital channels (social, crm, display, .com, retailer.com, creators, SEO etc)
• Utilize knowledge of functional design and creating design specifications
• Work with and guide UX design including wireframing with enterprise UX teams to bring all ecommerce channels to life with brand and with goal of driving sales
• Concept and collaborate with team lead, including copywriters, interaction designers, art directors, and tech leads, photographers, and agencies.
• Understand the big picture of the project and how it fits into the full user experience; drive thinking in creative and design strategy
• Maintain high standards for on-time execution and attention to detail, both in individual projects and well as direct reports.
• Nurture direct reports, providing clear direction and constructive feedback.
• Meet with team members regularly 1:1 as well as conduct team meetings to ensure cohesive
• Work with project management and producers as needed to manage resources, deadlines and helping to resolve resource and delivery issues
• Conceives and executes work ensuring that creative is executed within agreed strategy, deadlines and budgets
• Ability to apply conceptual strategy, initiate brainstorms and lead day-to-day direction of a project to completion
Qualifications
Qualifications
• 15+ years related experience or any combination of education, training and experience leading an in-house brand creative team; experience working in beauty or CPG and at agency is a nice-to-have
• Ability to be a "player-coach" - a strong creative leader to guide the work of the team but also can jump in and execute on projects that require a higher level of strategic thinking
• Experience managing cross- discipline teams with superior leadership skills with ability to grow, build, retain, and manage a talented team of creative directors, content creators, designers, copywriters, PMs, producers, animators and UX/UI
• Ability to initiate and drive high priority business and digital initiatives forward to benefit the brand, leveraging their management, leadership and cross functional collaboration skills
• Strong passion and curiosity about the evolution of digital experiences on multiple platforms
• Strong desire to inspire creativity, innovative thinking, strong marketing concepts and solutions across team and senior leadership
• Superior written and verbal communications skills both in concept development as well as in a professional environment
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work under extremely tight turnaround deadlines
• Superior organizational and time management skills
• Ability to juggle multiple projects, delegate work effectively and prioritize workload across the team
• Ability to present, communicate and collaborate with senior level stakeholders across organization and ELC at large
• Strong operational and prioritization skills to help maintain maximum efficiencies on the team without sacrificing quality of storytelling
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $256,000 to $435,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
