The Head of Admissions is primarily responsible for EF Academy sales in the Japan market.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy:
- To perform situational analyses, self-evaluation, and competitor
- To identify sales objectives.
- To develop sales and marketing strategies and to then implement and evaluate tactics.
- To contribute to the development of the EF Academy product.
Operational:
- Overall responsibility for coordinating day-to-day sales activities.
- Responsibility for building up new and maintain existing customer relationships. Ensuring the provision of excellent customer service and support.
- Responsibility for the control and monitoring of spending budgets. Ensuring effective expense planning and cost control.
- To develop and maintain professional competence and expertise, keeping up to date with changes in the Japan market.
- To build up new links and maintain existing relations with schools, Universities and other related B2B channels.
- To create and implement an annual marketing plan for
- Local admin like invoicing, visa preparation, distributions, etc.
- To assist in creating marketing material and the production of it.

Staff management:
- Motivate sales coordinators, establishing individual and team goals and objectives.
- Responsibility for performance management of sales coordinators, including performance reviews and development plans.
- In collaboration with Sales Manager and Country Manager, to identify staffing needs and execute successful recruitment campaigns.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:
- Undergraduate degree qualification or equivalent, preferably in marketing, business, administration, or a related discipline.
- Direct sales experience and or back office management experience ideally gained while working within an aggressive sales office environment.
- Understanding of sales and marketing practices and processes.
Competencies, Skills and Abilities:
- Business acumen with strong aptitude for negotiations and persuasion in both English and Japanese.
- Must have strong accounting skills. Statistics management, numerical capability (number crunching and budget management).
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to multitask with exceptional organization skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and communication skills, to be able to deal with a variety of stakeholders.
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as to drive and motivate others.
- Good process management skills.

Mobility requirements
Some International travel and trips within Japan will be required.
