Team Overview:
Our Edward Jones Trust Company team manages unique asset holdings, end to end (pre-acceptance review, ongoing maintenance, and sales/conveyances). Unique assets may include, but are not limited to, mineral/oil/gas interests, promissory notes, closely held business interests, loans, vehicles, collections or collectibles, and tangible personal property owned by a trust under EJTC's administration.

What You'll Do:
As a Unique Asset Specialist, you will be responsible for managing multiple portfolios, including real estate and other unique assets, by managing transactions through appropriate third -party relationships for clients across the United States. Here are a few of the key responsibilities you will be a part of:

  • Verification of asset ownership, appraisals and inspections, property taxes, insurance, maintenance and safety issues, and income collection, as applicable.
  • Analysis, preparation, monitoring, risk mitigation and sale of unique assets in partnership with the Trust Officer, Portfolio Manager, and/or third parties.
  • Conducting periodic asset reviews as required by regulation, policy, or procedure.
  • Selecting third parties, such as attorneys, landmen, appraisers, business valuation experts, etc.
  • Communication with trust officers, portfolio managers, branch teams, attorneys, realtors, and outside professionals.
  • Supporting measurements tracking and reporting to leadership.

The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate:

Hiring Minimum: $70659
Hiring Maximum: $116516

Skills/Requirements

What Experience You'll Need:

  • College Degree strongly preferred. Certifications, licenses, or experience in unique assets management required.
  • 5+ years' experience in unique asset/fiduciary-related work, including :
    • Advanced knowledge of at least one asset class required (i.e., oil and gas, closely held businesses, promissory notes, etc.).
    • Significant experience managing vendor relationships and accompanying SLAs.
    • Knowledge of fiduciary principles and basic ability to interpret trust and other estate planning documents.

What Could Set You Apart :

  • Property Management Experience
  • Real Estate Knowledge and Experience (reviewing contracts, sales, closing transactions, etc.)

*Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday*
