The Home Office Systematic Trading team is part of the Discretionary Client Aggregate Trading Department in the Trading capability. The team is primarily responsible for supporting all functions as they relate to home office trading that happens systematically for our Guided and Advisory programs. Our work primarily consists of exceptions-based reports from fall out of our different systematic trades like Liquidation of Funding Assets, Ineligible Assets, ADVDEP, Sweeper, and Plan/Purchase Allocator.
What You'll Do:
As a Technical Generalist, you will be responsible for ensuring we continue to support home office trading through enhancements, reconciliation of our systems, exception-based processing in a high-risk environment, managing multiple high priority tasks. The most important aspect of the job is understanding risk and using a risk mindset to minimize market exposure. This role will be pulled into data analysis and risk mitigation tasks to always reduce exposure for our clients and firm.

Here are a few of the key responsibilities you will be a part of:

  • Training, coaching, and mentoring of team members and may be expected to provide leadership on special projects impacting one or more business areas, as needed.
  • Analyze research and interpret, complex information utilizing a high degree of industry and regulatory knowledge related to multiple business areas across the organization.
  • Subject matter expert on key business area functions or systems, including a deep understanding of both how and why the work is performed.
  • Serve as workflow coordinator and point of escalation across multiple areas when business needs arise.
  • Frequent communication with home office leaders, large groups of associates, and/or vendors to resolve issues, answer escalated questions and carry out responsibilities including implementing effective change management.
  • Quality and accuracy reviews on selected functions within or across the business area.
  • Data analysis and root cause analysis
  • Analyze branch suggestions, survey comments and other feedback to identify trends and opportunities to enhance productivity and communicate results with leaders

What Experience You'll Need:

  • A bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a financial services environment (i.e., brokerage, banking, insurance,
  • etc.), including:
    • An advanced knowledge of procedures and systems associated with multiple functions in a department or group of departments. Examples of the specific knowledge would be in the areas of: trading, books and records, corporate actions, cash and banking related functions, anti-money laundering, client accounts, mutual funds, insurance, stocks, bonds, managed money products, retirement products and services, client reporting, tax, customer account transfers, securities processing, etc.
    • Advanced knowledge of processes, procedures, and systems associated with multiple functions in a department or group of departments.
    • Must have excellent word-processing and spreadsheet skills.
    • Experience with Excel, PowerBI, SharePoint, and Salesforce (to handle the queue/escalations).
    • Requires the ability to make recommendations to resolve and improve system issues.
    • Industry knowledge and skills as it relates to products, services, and processes.
    • Strong analytical skills

The required hours for this role are 6:30am CST - 2:30pm CST

Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
