Position Schedule: Full-Time
The ExCOE Insights Integration Department Leader manages a functional team to embed insights into the firm's strategic priorities in collaboration within a broader portfolio structure. Associates on the team partner with Research and Measurement areas to scope project plans and appropriate methods, build key deliverables, and manage the synthesis of insights to drive application across the business. As a functional leader, the Department Leader shapes the direction of their team, advances capabilities, and promotes the development of associates. This role also serves as a strategic partner across the business unit, building partnerships within the division and influencing the direction of portfolios and projects.

What you'll do...
- Advocates for and negotiates with Sr. Leaders (i.e. Directors, Portfolio Owners) to ensure the best application of Insights and Measures talent and capabilities in the firm to maximize business outcomes.
- Proactively builds and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders (i.e. functional partners, segment leaders) and matrix leaders (i.e. ExCOE Directors) to deliver Insight & Measures objectives both within and across areas of focus.
- Applies an experience-first mindset by reinforcing adherence to internal processes and best practices to support consistent, high-quality deliverables. Continually scans the external landscape for capability advancements and new vendor partnerships.
- Sets a department level strategy to ensure the advancement of capabilities and talent that enables the vision of the firm and meets a set of success measures. Continually manages a backlog of continuous improvements to advance the department.
- Coaches leaders and associates responsible to prepare for increased responsibility, continuously aligns opportunities to KDAs, and actively manages succession pipeline. Looks broadly across Experience and the firm to identify learning opportunity themes and develop strategies for leveling up skills of associates and leaders.
- Translates business needs and priorities to team through effective communication and applied change management practices. Inspires action through verbal and written venues.
- Partners collaboratively with and influences the prioritization of work performed by enabling functions that solves for the greatest needs of the team or Insights and Measures.
- Drives for, and reports on, progress towards department and/or Insight and Measures area objectives.
- Ensures and manages Written Supervisory Procedures (WSP), Rotational Records Information Management (RIM) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) responsibilities.
- Identifies and onboards talent to the team with the right skill set, including working with multiple internal teams and third party suppliers to secure contractor talent. Champions responsibility-based management to enable leaders to build high performing, diverse and inclusive teams. Leads leader and associate development and career pathing.

Skills/Requirements
What you'll need..
- Master's degree preferred; Bachelor's degree required
- 11+ years of consumer and/or employee insights experience OR 8+ years leadership and consumer insights experience
- Superior ability to assist in design and interpretation of research. Able to succinctly summarize results, providing insights for the firm at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to quickly engage and inspire a diverse, multi-disciplinary team and lead/contribute to multiple large-scale efforts concurrently without losing focus on the users point of view.
- Lead engagements with multiple, complex workstreams coaching and providing support to achieve results through others.
- Detailed understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and sampling designs; desire to deepen understanding of current and emerging techniques
- General knowledge of research vendors and the ability to assist in the selection of research vendors
- Knowledge or experience in behavioral-based research or psychology/human behavior, including exposure to employee or customer experience principles (with experience in multiple areas preferred)
- Demonstrated knowledge of how to conduct and organize pilot programs, observations, and focus groups.
Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
