The ideal candidate is a dedicated and highly motivated individual who enjoys working in a fast paced, dynamic team environment.
Edward Jones' compensation and benefits package includes medical and prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits (such as accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness), short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage. Short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage are provided at no cost to associates. Edward Jones offers a 401k retirement plan, and tax-advantaged accounts: health savings account, and flexible spending account. Edward Jones observes ten paid holidays and provides 15 days of vacation for new associates beginning on January 1 of each year, as well as sick time, personal days, and a paid day for volunteerism. Associates may be eligible for bonuses and profit sharing. All associates are eligible for the firm's Employee Assistance Program. Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred
- Current Series 7 and 66 (or combination of both Series 63 and 65) licenses required to apply
- Insurance License required or attainable within four months of hire
- AAMS certification attained within 12 months of start date or working toward other designations including CFP, ChFP, etc.
- 3+ years of securities industry experience as a Financial Advisor or a position supporting FA's requiring extensive product, service, market and general investing knowledge. Experience as an Edward Jones Financial Advisor highly preferred
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Well developed and practiced group presentation skills
- Ability to listen, understand and give advice
- Completion of Edward Jones New FA training highly desirable
