Experienced Advisor Recruiters will be assisting in bringing exceptional talent to our firm. The Experienced Advisors (EAs) are current Financial Advisors who can transition relationships to Edward Jones. The EA Recruiters will be expected to source, attract, and hire these advisors. They will do this by understanding the candidates' needs and articulating how being a Financial Advisor (FA) at Edward Jones can not only help their clients meet their long-term financial goals, but also enable the Financial Advisor to live out their individual purpose while contributing to growing the impact Edward Jones has on clients' lives.

What You'll Do:

  • Create and implement recruiting strategies, generate leads, and grow referral network.
  • Make significant outbound calls and contacts to reach passive candidate pools of Experienced Financial Advisors.
  • Utilize contact management system to persistently follow up with prospective candidate.
  • Establish relationships with prospective advisors and educate them on the Edward Jones platform, business model, and culture.
  • Review resumes, conduct behavior-based interviews, determine which candidates advance in the process by assessing candidate's talent, effort, and ability to successfully continue to build their practice at Edward Jones.
  • Work with the candidate to analyze their book of business and keep them informed of the hiring process and timeline.
  • Engage candidates throughout the recruitment and selection process (in partnership with Practice Acquisition Consultants) so they are fully educated on what they can expect being an FA at Edward Jones.
  • Partner closely with Practice Acquisition Consultants to ensure alignment of candidates' skillsets and transferrable business products.
  • Serve as back up for Practice Acquisitions Consultants, as necessary, to assist in moving candidates quickly through the hiring process.

Compensation Note: Compensation for this role is comprised of competitive base salary with the potential to earn commission based on performance with no cap on earnings.

Edward Jones' compensation and benefits package includes medical and prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits (such as accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness), short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage. Short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage are provided at no cost to associates. Edward Jones offers a 401k retirement plan, and tax-advantaged accounts: health savings account, and flexible spending account. Edward Jones observes ten paid holidays and provides 15 days of vacation for new associates beginning on January 1 of each year, as well as sick time, personal days, and a paid day for volunteerism. Associates may be eligible for bonuses and profit sharing. All associates are eligible for the firm's Employee Assistance Program. Hiring Minimum: $81750
Hiring Maximum: $139194

What Experience You Need:

  • 5 + years' experience proactively sourcing, recruiting, and interviewing candidates in financial services.
  • Ability to build or leverage a developed network of successful financial advisors.
  • Ability to determine overall success of candidates coming from firms with different philosophy and structure than Edward Jones and the ability to analyze training and compensation programs for candidates.
  • Strong resilient mindset, willingly initiating calls and comfortable in various interactions with potential candidates.
  • In depth knowledge of the industry and the ability to articulate how the Edward Jones value proposition compares to other firms.

What could set you apart:

  • Series 7
  • AIRS CIR and CDR
  • Bachelor's Degree

Travel Expectations - This position will travel approximately 10-20% of the time.

Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
