Position Schedule: Full-Time
Our Legal Division is expanding to enhance solutions for millions of clients and their families. We are looking for an experienced attorney to provide legal advice and support to leaders across the Firm related to our investment advisory platform and programs particularly in our expanding high net worth and alternatives offerings. The work is dynamic and requires the ability to look beyond the specific legal questions to understand the goals of the business and aid in getting to the best solution. This opportunity will afford the successful candidate the opportunity to be a part of a culture that inspires and supports the individual and allows them to be part of a team focused on delivering solutions.

Edward Jones' compensation and benefits package includes medical and prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits (such as accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness), short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage. Short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage are provided at no cost to associates. Edward Jones offers a 401k retirement plan, and tax-advantaged accounts: health savings account, and flexible spending account. Edward Jones observes ten paid holidays and provides 15 days of vacation for new associates beginning on January 1 of each year, as well as sick time, personal days, and a paid day for volunteerism. Associates may be eligible for bonuses and profit sharing. All associates are eligible for the firm's Employee Assistance Program. Hiring Minimum: $168500
Hiring Maximum: $286900

Skills/Requirements
- Juris Doctorate and licensed to practice law in the State of Missouri or other state
- Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive professional responsibility and experience in relevant practice areas
- Experience working at a regulatory agency, in private practice or in-house representing broker‐dealers and registered investment advisers with a significant alternative investments business
- Experience with alternative investments (including but not limited to private equity and credit funds, structured products, interval and tender offer funds, commodity funds)
- Familiarity with alternatives advisory programs and applicable federal laws and regulations that govern such programs, the contractual agreements that govern such programs, and disclosures that are provided to retail clients
- Experience working with federal and state regulators and self-regulatory organizations preferred
- Exceptional legal knowledge, judgment, work ethic and integrity, and a demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
- Technological aptitude and ability to learn new technologies
