EcoVadis is looking for a Legal Counsel & Operations Specialist to provide comprehensive legal support across all required areas, with a focus on legal operations. You'll also optimize the KPIs of the legal department by implementing processes that improve the impact of the Legal team within the organization. You'll be joining an amazing Legal team, with talented peers located all around the globe.
Key responsibilities include:
Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will carry out these key responsibilities:
Legal Digitalization: Collaborate with other legal department members and other teams within the company to drive digital transformation through the implementation and management of legal technology solutions. Stay informed about the latest trends and innovations in legal technology so that you can continuously enhance the department's digital capabilities.
Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a diverse range of contracts, focusing on SaaS agreements, procurement agreements and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs). Ensure all contracts comply with applicable laws and regulations while aligning with company policies and objectives. Regularly review and update standard contract templates, and develop practical guides to streamline the contract management process.
Legal Advisory: Provide strategic legal advice and support to various business units, including Sales, Procurement, HR on legal-related matters. Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with contracts and other business activities. Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and resolve any disputes that may arise.
Compliance and Governance: Support the development and maintenance of corporate policies and procedures related to contract management and legal digitalization. Conduct training sessions for staff on contract-related topics and the use of legal technology tools.
Legal monitoring: Actively monitor and review legal changes in countries relevant to company’s operations and provide timely updates on legislation that may impact the company’s activities and operations, including ESG regulations.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Law
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience as an in-house lawyer in an international organization or law firm
- Languages: Fluent/bilingual in English; fluency in other European languages is advantageous
- Strong experience in the operational part of an international legal department
- Familiarity with CLM tools (Juro a plus), ticketing systems (Jira a plus) and automations (Slack a plus)
- Previous experience in tech companies and SaaS providers
- Legal Operations qualification
