The Billing Manager will lead a diverse, globally distributed team responsible for all aspects of the billing cycle for all our EcoVadis customers. This person will ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in billing operations while driving continuous improvement. With strong managerial skills and experience working across multiple regions, the ideal candidate will have to manage both local and remote teams. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, with excellent communication skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Core responsibilities:
Leadership : Lead a globally distributed billing team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
Team Development : Coach and develop junior team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and skill enhancement.
Operations : Oversee and manage the end-to-end billing process across multiple countries and regions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Serve as the primary point of contact for billing-related issues, escalations, and resolutions.
Process optimization : Identify inefficiencies in billing workflows and implement solutions to streamline operations and enhance accuracy. Drive improvements in the control environment surrounding billing and revenue reporting. Leverage billing and ERP systems to improve automation and data accuracy.
Compliance : Ensure adherence to local and international regulations, tax laws, and company policies.
Reporting : Provide regular billing performance reports and insights to senior management.
- Stakeholder engagement : Work closely with internal teams to implement new processes and address billing challenges.
Qualifications
Minimum 7+ years in billing, accounting, or a related finance field, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
Proven experience managing billing operations across multiple countries, including familiarity with tax regulations and currency complexities.
Strong ability to lead and motivate remote teams, with a focus on performance and professional growth.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across cultures and time zones.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement.
Experience with billing and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar), Excel, and data analysis tools.
