Eaton Corporation has an opening for a Vice President IT - Cloud Transformation & Migration. This person will report directly to the Vice President IT & CTO. This position can be based in any of our core locations (Beachwood OH, Raleigh NC, Houston TX, Moon Twp PA, Galesburg MI, Menomonee Falls WI), or possibly any Eaton location.
Position Overview:
The Vice President IT - Cloud Transformation will be at the forefront of our technological transformation, modernizing our capabilities into one that is leveraging Cloud capabilities, unlocking access to new ways of working and capturing gains in experience, speed and productivity that translate into better outcomes for Eaton. The Cloud Transformation leader will lead a vertically integrated team of over 60+, including employees, leaders-of-people, and contractors that is distributed across Eaton's footprint. The VP will take the lead in defining our Enterprise Cloud strategy and migration roadmaps.

As a part of the Infrastructure Services leadership team, this position will have significant leadership and interface responsibilities with the Eaton operational leaders, vendor partners and information technology product teams across the enterprise. This position will have direct responsibility for the IT profit plan related to Cloud.
Essential Functions:
• Develop and execute on Cloud strategy as a part of Eaton overall IT strategic intent that address the foundational elements such as governance, cybersecurity, network, automation, cost management and operating model.
• Pivot to an IT product and business outcome-based delivery model to support the functional excellence and digitization efforts.
• Promotes a digital mindset oriented, product-centric and business outcome focused culture.
• Work across teams to develop and/or ensure maintenance of end-to-end roadmaps for digital capabilities and ensure delivery of those solutions conform to standard delivery process (waterfall, agile).
• Influence the enterprise technology roadmap for infrastructure management, be the gatekeeper for the definition of implementable strategies for cloud infrastructure, drive the implementation of these strategies and deliver the initiatives on target, on budget, and on time.
• Ensure the incremental delivery of efficient technology solutions that are strategic in nature, while supporting tactical objectives as well.
• Develops and deploys strategic modernization approaches that enable and prepare Digital application management teams to cost effectively shift legacy applications to cloud platforms and Infrastructure-As-Code.
• Participate in deep technical design discussions within the team, across partner teams, and ensure that we're building the right solutions with business outcomes as a priority.
• Accountable for tracking cloud consumption (FINOPS), budget and forecast along with finance team and working with product teams to manage cloud consumption costs.
• Manages the department budget and recoveries, ensuring we meet our profit plan and forecasts.
• Maintains control over the P&L for Cloud Transformation and migration, assuring that costs are aligned to business requirements and that expenses are continuously evaluated, measured against a competitive marketplace, and optimized.
• Drive productivity, usher in new infrastructure technologies, and systematically eliminate legacy infrastructure technology debt.
• Collaborate and support the leadership team with process excellence and digitization recommendations and partner with other teams to deliver actionable and innovative technical and functional guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
• Requires 15+ years of relevant experience, preferably managing virtually in a global environment.
• Experience migrating from a mature/legacy technology stack to a modern technology stack. Proven expertise with large cloud service providers.
• Experience with controlled technical data in the Cloud and GovCloud implementation models
• Experience with migration of solutions from on-premises to public cloud and be well versed with migration strategies.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.

Education:
• An undergraduate degree is required. A Master's degree is preferred.
Compensation:
