Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Utility- 1st Shift (E Coat) to join our team on Badger Dr. in Waukesha, WI!

The hourly rate for this position is $22.30 per hour.

Core Shift Hours: 5am - 1pm Monday - Friday. Overtime can exceed these hours and may be mandatory. Typically, overtime extends until 3pm on these days.

What you'll do:

The Utility - 2nd Shift (E-Coat) oversees and aids the workforce to ensure that the product is cleaned in an efficient and quality manner. They understand all work processes and practices to effectively fill in for missing personnel. They work with supervision and engineering to ensure proper e-coat coverage on regular, new, and prototype parts.

The Utility is a select position. It requires a person who is self-motivated, can work with a wide variety of people and the flexibility to work hours that do not coincide with normal shifts or on other shifts as needed.

In this function, you will:

  • Augment any position because of employee absence or production demand.
  • Assist Team Lead or Supervisor in assessing departmental priorities, make daily work assignments, and/or control production line flow within the plant. May schedule work in the absence of a Team Lead or Unit Supervisor.
  • Utilize SAP and our internal tracking system to support material expedites and reorders.
  • Operate all equipment including, but not limited to; up-enders, load towers, drop sections, pressure washer, hydraulic clamping devices, oscillator controls, and selection controls for load lines.
  • Be responsible for the continuous improvement of work practices and procedures in all areas, by resolving ECOAT or quality problems. Report and assist supervision in correcting engineering and material problems. Above-average safety awareness must be maintained.
  • Assist new and transferring employees with procedures and standards expected in assembly operations.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in an ECOAT working environment
  • Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience reading plant specifications, drawings, blueprints, process sheets, Microsoft Office, etc.

Skills:

  • Effective written and oral communication skills and a demonstrated ability to influence others to achieve specific goals. Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); SAP a plus.
  • Ability to work overtime when required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 LBS; bend, twist, grab, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, use both hands to lift and lower materials, and perform all other essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
