Eaton's North American Sales division is currently seeking a TRC Industrial Control Application Engineer to join their team. This position is located in Arden, NC. Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates outside of a 50-mile radius of this location. The expected annual salary range for this role is $91,500.03 - $134,200.04 a year.

What you'll do:

The Technical Resource Center (TRC) provides product selection, troubleshooting, and application assistance for Eaton's Electrical Components. This position provides technical leadership for Eaton's Industrial Control products, including motor starters, control relays, overload protection, pushbuttons, indicating lights and enclosed control. This includes training and providing technical support for the TRC Technical Support Engineers. In addition, collaboration with the product marketing and engineering teams on product launches and technical/quality issues

Responsibilities:

• Use problem solving and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex issues.
• Interpret customer specifications, drawings and schematics to assist with quotes and solutions.
• Develop and conduct training for the TRC Technical Support Engineers and other EatonCare personnel.
• Provide technical assistance for the TRC Technical Support Engineers and others in EatonCare.
• Provide phone, email, and chat coverage as needed.
• Effectively communicate product value proposition and product line strategies.
• Provide support on applicable codes and standards associated with the products.
• Review and provide feedback on product literature developed by product line.
• Make recommendations for product enhancements and offerings.
• Proactively communicate customer needs to the product lines.
• Maintain and expand product knowledge base.
• Participate in product road mapping, strategy and planning sessions with the product lines.
• Develop application notes.
• Identify, develop, and maintain tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the team.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required
• Minimum 3 years of electrical industry experience
• Prior work experience with industrial control products
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
