The expected annual salary range for this role is $80250.03 - $117700.04 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

The primary responsibilities of this role are designing, constructing, and maintaining tooling used in our manufacturing process. This position is also responsible for the supervision and development of our Tool and Die Department. Building upon previous successes, this role will take our Tool and Die team to the next level. Collaborate with cross function teams and department leaders to support the creation and implementation of manufacturing strategies, which will lead to improvements in employee safety, quality performance, product delivery, and reductions in product/process variation. Day to day activities include:

  • Design and development of stamping tooling including strip layouts, simulations, die construction and press specifications
  • Develop and construct progressive dies and tools for the production of steel outlet boxes
  • Implement maintenance and repair programs for production tooling to ensure optimal performance and longevity
  • Inspect completed parts and compare to die specifications for accuracy and quality, following strict manufacturing standards
  • Identify and resolve problems to minimize downtime and maintain production
  • Work closely with engineering and Master Die Makers to improve die designs and enhance production efficiency
  • Manage materials used in die-making, ensuring proper storage and handling to maintain quality
  • Maintain accurate records of die maintenance, repairs, and modifications for future reference
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and die performance
  • Track and report progress of tooling programs from sourcing to a production ready state

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Institution is required.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience designing complex progressive stamping dies.
  • Minimum five (5) years of Tool & Die experience, including any of the following: troubleshooting stamping operations, ANSI/ISO drawing standards and GD&T dimensioning, Wire EDM and/or CNC machining technologies, knowledge of tool steels and their applications, and understanding of die sensors, vision inspection or related technology
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Washington, PA will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated proficiency with lean manufacturing tools/elements (VSM, 5S, Std Work, Set-Up Reduction, etc.)
  • Thorough understanding of production environments (low volume/high mix and high volume/low mix) including safety requirements and use of lean techniques in these environments
  • Experience with Servo Press
