The hourly rate for this position is $21.72 per hour.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
In the Tester role, you will complete electrical tests on assemblies and components to ensure conformance with required specifications and performance characteristics as well as diagnose and correct very difficult circuitry in assemblies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• You will effectively use test consoles, electrical meters, various electrical and electronic test equipment, hand tools, handling equipment, alignment equipment, gauges, mechanical measuring and fitting equipment, and other products or product components to ensure products meet customer specifications.
• You will perform production tests using wire diagrams, schematics, sketches, and manufacturing information for medium voltage assemblies, switches, components, plugs and network protectors, and all associated components.
• You will diagnose and correct problems or contact manager or engineer to verify circuit operations or to suggest methods to correct errors. This also includes preparing related test records and documentation.
• You will be knowledgeable in voltage safety requirements
• You will travel as necessary to effectively interface with customers and other required contacts, to work at various outside/inside site locations, and to manage or participate in company-related projects, activities, or other job-related assignments.
Qualifications:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Technology OR an equivalent degree.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Greenwood facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
• At least 1 year of experience using hand and air tools
• At least 1 year of electrical drafting
POSITION CRITERIA:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive skills, and analytical problem-solving skills. Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within team environment. Willing to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs. Utilize various hand tools to assemble and verify quality in a Lean environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; reach at or above shoulder level; grip; and use hands to handle and feel. The employee is frequently required to walk; stoop; lift; carry; push; pull; and grip. The employee is frequently required to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. The employee is also required to push/pull up to or greater than 100 pounds occasionally with assistance. The employee may be required to use material handling equipment, including powered industrial vehicles, to move product and supplies. The vision requirements include far and close vision with depth perception and color discrimination. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to listen and to talk.
