Eaton's Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Technical Support Engineer.
What you'll do:
Job Summary
Provide technical support for the low voltage variable frequency drives (VFD) support team within the Technical Resource Center (TRC) . This position assists internal and external customers with product selection, application assistance, programming and troubleshooting of Eaton's VFD products. This position will assist customers through various channels including phone and email.
Job Responsibilities
A. Provide post sale and presale technical support for residential and light commercial electrical products.
B. Provide verbal and written technical support for internal and external customers

C. Effectively communicate product value proposition and product line strategies
D. Help the team meet KPI's (key performance indicators)
E. Ability to perform assigned duties in a team atmosphere while also having the ability to work independently
F. Ability to use internal software applications including MFgPro, C360 CRM, Access TRC call log, Enovia and Vista
G. Participate in the development and/or maintenance of product support resources (i.e. self-service knowledge base, application notes, catalogs)
H. Ability to work flexible hours to support emergency customer situations

Qualifications:
Education level required
- Bachelor degree in a engineering field desirable
Years and area of experience required
- At least 3 years of experience on remote technical support
Skills:
- VFD products knowledge (residential and light commercial electrical products)
- Automation technical knowledge (PLC's, HMI's and communication protocols)
- English business and technical proficiency
- Strong listen, written and verbal communication skills
