Eaton is seeking a Technical Project Lead - to develop Aerospace products at the Eaton European Innovation Center (EEIC) in Prague, Czech Republic. This role involves leading the construction of a new aerospace test cell, testing Eaton fuel components, and focusing on aircraft airframe and engine fuel systems. The engineer will be part of the EEIC Aerospace team and report to the Aerospace Manager at EEIC.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervising and leading the construction of a fuel pump test cell and fuel pump test stand (project schedule tracking, action items tracking)
- Communication with suppliers (leading communication with suppliers and reviewing suppliers' technical proposals)
- Defining technical specifications for fuel test cells (hydraulic installation, electrical installation, control system, data acquisition, hydraulic circuits, heating system, cooling system, motor drives, loads, etc.)
- Working with safety requirements (test cells, control rooms, tanks, ventilation, ATEX, etc.)
- Communication with local authorities and supporting the building permit process
- Defining bill of materials, creating purchase requests, and preparing public tenders
- Preparing Czech and EU grant proposals for investment and R&D projects
- Leading fuel systems testing (development, qualification, certification tests) for airliner aircraft fuel pumps (e.g. Boeing, Airbus)
- R&D of new fuel products and systems, participating in building prototypes and new test configurations
- Supporting control system and data acquisition configurations, analyzing experimental data
- Ensuring compliance with internal and external standards and regulations
- Participating in new product and technology development projects

We would like you to bring:
- Master's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the design, testing, or project management of fuel systems (or hydraulic systems) within the aerospace, automotive, or industrial sectors.
- Experience in project management or technical project leadership
- Experience in hydraulics, fuel systems design, or testing
- Knowledge of hydraulic circuit design and its thermal management
- Basic knowledge of data acquisition systems (e.g., NI LabView)
- Czech/Slovak language is a must for this role
We would appreciate following skills:
- Demonstrated knowledge of engineering processes and project management practices and tools.
- Experience with the building permit process for laboratories with explosive atmospheres.
- Skills in 3-D modeling and mechanical design using common CAD tools (e.g., Creo or SolidWorks).
- Experience with aerospace requirements and standards (RTCA DO-160G, SAE, EASA CS, etc.).
- Skills in modeling of hydraulics (Amesim, Matlab/Simulink, FlowMaster).
