Join Eaton's digital transformation journey as a Technical Program Manager in our Digital Hardware Enablement (DHE) Center of Excellence. This role focuses on developing reusable embedded software platforms and is based at the Eaton Americas Innovation Center in Brossard, Québec, Canada. This role offers hybrid work opportunities, as well as benefits from day one. Candidates must reside within 80km of Brossard, Québec, Canada. Relocation assistance within Canada is offered.

What you'll do:

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate technical collaborations to deliver software capabilities within reusable embedded software platforms.
  • Work globally to solve complex technical issues and create solutions for digitally enabled products.
  • Foster business relationships between product development teams and the center of excellence.
  • Collect detailed requirements from product teams to achieve business results.
  • Leverage enterprise development program tracking tools to prioritize and deliver value.
  • Identify and mitigate risks within a software collaboration.
  • Understand existing and new software capabilities to make or validate effort estimates.
  • Communicate efficiently with stakeholders to ensure consistent value delivery.
  • Continuously improve the development process, quality attainment, automation, DevOps, and AI-enabled development tools.
  • Partner with internal customers, NPI teams, and other stakeholders to complete product development projects.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications (Must have):

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration).
  • At least 7 years of professional experience in software product development, technical program management, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience managing and delivering successful new product introductions for technology products that leverage embedded software.
  • Ability to work flexible hours supporting other time zones and travel up to 20%.
  • Authorization to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Relocation within Canada is offered. Candidates will need to reside or relocate to within 80km of Brossard, Québec, Canada.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to have):

  • Master's degree in a technical or business-related field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration).
  • Experience as a contributing member of an embedded software development team with an understanding of embedded systems engineering concepts.
  • Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), including PI planning and working with Agile Release Trains (ARTs).
  • Proficiency with Jira, including configuring and maintaining projects, analyzing backlog items, and reporting.
  • Direct experience with modern IoT and edge applications and use-cases.
  • Fluency in French and English is preferred for this position in order to communicate with colleagues, customers, and partners located inside and outside of Quebec, as well as to understand technical documentation in the field of our industry.

  • Manage annual budgeting and forecasting efforts.
