What you'll do:

• Responsible for leading team by an example, guide, motivate & engage team to deliver on key functional expectations such as Inventory days on hand (DOH) improvement, managing inventory within desirable levels, slow moving inventory reduction, Planning parameters (SS, ROP & min-max) updates, phase in & out control in collaboration with the Supply chain network leaders across SC networks & business.
• Able to forge relations at all levels, collaborate internally with different teams, stakeholders & work in the matrix reporting structures.
• Advanced Functional knowledge and strong understanding of Material Planning, Inventory Management, Sales, Inventory and Operation Planning (SIOP), Capacity Planning, advance Materials Management practices & Inventory performance measures like ITR / DOH

• Responsible for setting inventory parameters for finished goods in DC's (Distribution Centers) and raw materials /sub assemblies in plants in our core systems including SAP,MFG pro, Oracle etc.
• Maintains product segmentation / assortment for inventory planning purposes
• Monitors DC and plant service levels and the impact of adjusting safety stock and other parameters
• Monitor current and projected inventory levels across the network vs financial targets and inventory entitlement, identifying reasons for deviation and suggesting corrective actions
• Simulates the impacts of inventory policy changes on total inventory levels across networks
• Provides planning decision making support to Network Planners and Network Schedulers
• Evaluates exceptions / scenarios in inventory based on inventory health & take actions to improve inventory health
• Driving slow moving inventory reduction Projects by working collaboratively with Buying, Planning, SIOP & global programs teams
• Excellent communication & presentation skills to work with teams from different geographies (Global, regional & local materials management teams)
• Responsible for sharing with the team, best practices, continuous improvement of process, development of process standards, compliance with Materials management processes, and reporting in alignment with the regional and global supply chain organization
• Work on materials management processes and drive improvement projects with a consultative approach.Should be able to work in complex business environments with Matrix structures
• Willingness to learn Kinaxis from super user perspective & train the materials management professionals as needed
• Lead and drive Materials systems process for Inventory to meet the regional team's daily, weekly and monthly reporting timelines.
• Flexible in attitude and approach to accepting all tasks related to the position & willingness to learn new skills when required
• Champions Continuous Improvement projects & process standardisation ( identify , Own & lead L2/ L3 level continuous improvement projects by self & with the help of team)
• Handles escalations and provides solutions by using quality tools like 8D analysis, Why - Why analysis with the help of team

Qualifications:

Graduate / Preferably Post Graduate especially MBA (Operations / Supply chain / Materials) with 9 to 14 years of relevant experience related to Inventory Management, Material Planning & supply chain management in global environments
CPIM, CSCP or PMP certification will be an added advantage
