Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Team Leader - Repair Station.
The hours for this role are 6am - 2pm
The hourly rate for this position is $37.00 per hour.

What you'll do:
The Team Leader, under the guidance of a Front Line Leader, is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and support to 15-20 hourly operators while also partnering with front end team to review and release daily production schedules in order to meet or exceed TAT goal and sales targets. This position is responsible for ensuring a smooth shift, including pre and post shift checks and consistent check-ins with operators while escalating production, safety, and quality issues as needed.'

Primary Functions:
• Perform daily check-ins with all operators throughout shift to resolve issues as they arise or, when necessary, escalate issues through proper channels based on nature of issue.
• Identify training needs for operators and ensure proper training either through themselves or through other qualified operators. Provide individual performance feedback when needed.
• Partner with engineering and front-end team to release daily production schedules to ensure consistent production flow.
• Prepare for shift by reviewing preflight checklist and previous shift's handover report as well as check call-ins and adjust daily manning plan.
• Prepare for next shift, including reviewing manning and production schedule and completing shift handover and end of shift reports.
• Lead daily tier I meetings, sharing previous day's production performance and today's production plan. Identify and create action plans to be shared in daily tier II meetings.
• Support improvement activities for the value stream alongside materials and logistics, quality, and operations.
• Effective written and oral communication skills and a demonstrated ability to influence others to achieve specific goals. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Conducts training and performs audits as required.
• Generates maintenance requests as needed and escalate any machine down to FLL.
• Backup to Front Line Leader.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualification:
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience in manufacturing processes.
• Candidate must be legally authorized to work in United States without company sponsorship.
• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate Beltsville area (50 miles) will be considered for this position.

Position Criteria:
• You will comply with and perform procedures necessary to ensure compliance with the Eaton MESH initiatives and ensure the personal safety of the incumbent and his/her associates including eye safety, hearing conservation, machine safety guards, ergonomic movement, lockout/tag-out, MSDS procedures, and OHSA regulations. Understand and meet all departmental safety objectives and goals. Ensure the assigned work area is clean, organized, and orderly per 5S standards.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes as well as basic understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering prints.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous situations and competing priorities to identify and resolve problems that arise.
• Ability to navigate a team environment to inspire and motivate team of operators to achieve department goals.
• Ability to convey information effectively to multiple diverse stakeholder groups at different levels of the organization.
• Ability to evaluate an individual's performance and provide guidance to aide employee development.
• Proficiency in MRP systems such as MFGPro, SAP, and Oracle.
• Must be able to lift up to 35lbs. unassisted.
Skills:
Preferred Qualifications:
• Minimum (2) two years' experience working in Part 145 FAA Repair Station.
• Prior experience in a leadership role
• Knowledge of metal forming, grinding, cutting, machining, assembly, welding, and tools/fixtures.
